All Elites have the beavertail frame and elite slide. i have a couple 229's with an Elite slide but it is not an Elite. No SRT and no beavertail. Elite Darks have adjustable combat rear sights, beavertail, aluminum grips and of course the elite slide with front cocking serrations. There were P229s with triple serial numbers, there were some with double serial numbers on the frame and slide or barrel, and then there were single serial number on the frame like yours. Because P229s were made in the U.S. there was no requirement for manufacturers to also put serial numbers on the slide and barrel like in Germany.

The gun I'm looking at says Made in Germany on the right side of the slide under the P220 designation, but Sigarms Inc. Exeter-NH on the left side behind the Sig logo. Well, no joy with Sig. All they could tell me is that my P229 is too old to research. He also mentioned that Sig didn’t stamp serial numbers on both sides but I think that part of things was above his knowledge pay grade. As a general rule he is correct but this topic is outside of the “general rule” realm.
