This seems more in-between similar to the general with a serious yet playful approach.I have recharged the batt (13.2v). I checked the ac volts from the stator and in a nutshell at 1000rpm 19.6v, 3000rpm 45v and 5000rpm 74v. So it now points to the regulator. Now to contact Polaris and see if they will repair under goodwill as my ranger is 10 moths old and only 890 km (550 mi) Crossing my fingers!!

According to my owners manual for my RZR and I suspect the full size rangers are the same, When the AWD is turned on by the switch it only engages when the rear wheels slip. We also purchased factory snow tracks with the machine, but have only used them for one season. Your belt is probably getting wore into an hour glass shape due to the load. Seen this on generals, ranger and rzrs when using high and starting out on inclines or with heavy loads. If it is, you'll need a new belt. You could try using low range if you haven't already.
