4020 synchro clutch problem. Hello all, 67 4020 sychro, just rebuilt engine 1yr ago, put new throwout bearings,clutch pack, clutch pad, and flywheel in same time. This afternoon while feeding hay I pushed the clutch, felt a pop, clutch grabbed and wouldnt release. had to kill it to stop.Now we are a dairy farm. Advance 10 degrees by 1600 RPM.Remove the screw, install a plastic line on the fitting and start the tractor. Turn the steering wheel to the RH stop position and open the fitting slowly. Let oil bleed out the line until no bubbles are present then tighten the fitting. Be careful as the steering wheel may jump after the bubbles are gone. Recheck the steering.
