I've had the 3" xds .45 and still have a 30s. I didn't care for the feel of the Xds and I didn't like the trigger. The 30s felt much better to me and was naturally easier to control with follow ups. Once I had some time with the 30s I traded the xds. The 30 does shoot softer than the 27 and also affords you the benefit of a full grip. The 36 isn't bad either. It has slightly more felt recoil than the 30 due to lighter slide and thinner grip. I have owned a gen3 30sf and the 30s at the same time. I sold off the 30sf and still have an carry the 30s. I can't tell much difference if really any in recoil or accuracy.
