1953. Apr 16, 2021. #1. Hello, I replaced the Solex carburetor on my '53 4-134 f head pickup with a Carter YF. I would like to know if any of the existing linkage is appropriate. I'm not sure how the linkage should be attached to the carburetor. TLDR: I need a diagram/picture/video of the CT200u throttle/carb/ and governor arm linkage. I recently rebuilt my engine and took off the throttle assembly, carb, and governor arm. I have a 1965 289 with a 2 barrel carburetor and the throttle spring is broken. However, I do not think it was setup properly by the former owner. The broken spring was attached to an L bracket at front of the intake manifold.
