The work/life balance is terrible. You will work twelve hour shifts with lots of mandatory overtime days and potentially have to stay late. They aren't flexible with scheduling. The leadership doesn't seem to care about their employees. You will be largely out of contact while working. Plus the job is stressful and quite often thankless.

There is room for advancement and the retirement is very good. However the pay is sub par compared to other Law Enforcement agencies and you will never receive a raise. The staff are over worked.

The facility is a very structured business. The schedules are flexible and the Supervisors treat you like family. There is plenty of overtime. At the same time the benefits are great and the pay has increased 7% and counting since I've started a year ago. Kudos to SARCI!!
