Reset passenger window subaru outback.
The passenger side window and now the driver side window are being difficult on the 2015 3.6r. When I press the auto-up button they go up and then about 1 cm from the top they both come back to about half open. The auto-up button is pretty much worthless on the passenger side. I have to move the window up inch by inch for it to close.

None (none!) of the windows go down (or up) on my 2013 Outback. 1- I checked the Passengers’ windows lock button (even tho we all know it never affected the driver window operation) 2- I checked fuses 2 ,3, 15, 27, 29. All OK incl. 3- I disconnected battery for 30s and reconnected. 4- All other accessories seem OK.

I was thinking that, aside from pulling the doors apart, it should be a pretty straight forward swap to replace the front passenger window controls with one-touch like the driver's side window. It looks like there is a right-side auto up/down regulator:Make sure the window lockout button on the driver's door window switch didn't get accidentally pushed. Good point, although on my 18 if I engage the window lockout switch I can still operate the front passenger window from the driver's master control. I found that by accident, thought it was weird, but confirmed in the manual.
Check the window lock button on the driver door. If that is inadvertently hit, none of the windows will operate no matter what buttons you use.
