I'm contemplating purchasing the tread+ to replace my current treadmill, which has lasted me 5 years and could probably last me another 3 years. Say you drop $4K for a Tread+, the assumption is that Peloton will keep you engaged to perpetuity to be a loyal subscriber.

The screen can only be used for IFit, but my iPad fits in the tablet holder on top of the treadmill for peloton workouts just fine. It does -3 degree decline to 15 incline and up to 12.5 mph speed. Proform is basically the cheaper version of Nordictrack, but both are excellent treadmills made by the same manufacturer. Having said this, even an entry-level treadmill from NordicTrack is around $1000.
