There is nothing else to do other than premix. Do not try to do this without the block off kit. There is a brass bushing down in the block that used to locate one end of the pump drive.

The carbs are jetted for fuel only and not a premix. Also premixing leads to over oiling that results in heavy coking of the pistons and rings.

Oil injection block off — Done!! Mercury BlackmaxMagnet is in the plastic bushing. You might pull out the plastic bushing which leaves the oil pump shaft in the engine. Turning the flywheel by hand will move the oiler shaft out until you can grab it. Shouldn't need any tools but might help to have needle nose pliers and or a magnet handy.One hose is going to under cowl tank and will be removed with tank. Other hose stays on oil pump and is capped at opposite end. Large hose coming from remote tank is going to leave with the under cowl tank and other side of that hose goes to the block.
