It's 75 weight either way, the 110 and 140 denotes the protection of the additive package as the oil is heated up to 100 celsius (acts like a thicker oil 110 weight or 140 weight). In the heat of the summer in our area, the 140 shouldn't hurt anything. '02 1800C and '79 XS1100SF.

Driveshaft fluid change. I drained the driveshaft gear oil on my 2006 VTX 1300C. Soupy grey and watery,not a lot in there. I used Valvoline Durablend synthetic 80w-90w gear oil in my 97 1100c Shadow Spirit. It's typical for the final drive fluid to be grey/black, as it has molybedenum added to it at assembly.This is with dino oil. If the oil light came on, this is an indication of low oil pressure. This can be caused by various things including low oil level, failed oil pump, blocked oil passages and a failed oil pressure sensor. Running an engine when the oil pressure light is on is a recipe for disaster.The owners manual for the 1300C suggests replacing coolant at 24K. I took the advice of other members on this board and downloaded the service manual. You might consider that as well. Don't let removing the tank worry you.
