I suspect the average Cragheart build won’t be particularly interested, not when you’ve already got the top Heal on Rumbling Advance. I played a cragheart to level 9 and it pretty much went how you've imagined. Started out ranged, then became heavily obstacle focused, and ended up being a melee character. Creating obstacles for true damage and then pushing enemys into one with heaving swing, while destroying another adjacent for +3 made for some pretty high DPS.

Cragheart is a great half-range-half-melee character. Backup Ammunition really makes Cragheart shine, making your ranged attacks that much more lethal. The main thing you didn't mention is that the true strength of Blunt Force is the good Initiative, which is something the Cragheart desperately needs, especially on the range build (almost every good initiative cards have melee top abilities).
