The other issue is on occasion when we put the Forester in reverse, the light on the info screen for the rear braking doesn't come on, and the dash actually says "RAB Disabled". RAB issue! So I just got my brand new 2020 subaru Ascent. I have had it for about 2 months no issues till now. So I just backed out from an empty parking lot no cars around at 711 and my RAB sensor went off beeped yellow on the screen and breaked it self. It did that three times and even at a stop light with no cars around.

Once the RAB is triggered or disabled, it will stay disabled on the screen. If the system was triggered normally (brakes kicked in) then when you put it in drive, the system should reset. If is disabled in drive, it means the RAB has malfunctioned. Turning the ignition off/on will clear that and it should work then.2022 Outback issues.
