I have 10 robots all bought within a month and have had to replace 5 dfi sensors, one of them twice. Plus litter robot sent me a new dfi that had no plug on the end of it so they sent me a new one. Just had this issue. Sounds like you need to replace the DFI sensors and pinch terminals. See one of my recent posts. I was able to get the replacements for free (despite being outside warranty, purchased my robot in Jan 2021) but submitting a service ticket at the end of the troubleshooter (linked on my post). Using needlenose pliers, gently remove each of the silver pinch contacts. Install New Pinch Detect Terminals. 1. Using needlenose pliers, position the new pinch contacts. A flathead screwdriver can help to gently push them into place. Make sure the contacts are fully seated in the slot. Both metal pinch contacts should be touching each other. 2. Remove the bonnet, globe and pull the waste drawer out, on the base unit look on the left side under the pinch bar in the waste port, cant miss it, the DFI is under the pinch bar.
