Tim King. The dct are great I have the first year 2015 no problems at all. The 2017 are said to shift smoother with new shift points. Takes a few miles to break them in after that smother as butter. The low range comes in handy for plowing or going down steep hills the engine braking is the same as foot shift model.

The Rubicons 01-11 and Rincons don't use the same type of transmissions as the ES models.Honda 2002 and up ES and all Rubicon models use codes to identify shift and tranmission problems. The codes are different for each type/model so make sure you are following the correct procedure; ES models are listed first, followed by the Rubicon First thing to check is the volage from the battery.
