The first speed part I ever purchase was a used Hurst syncro-loc shifter, must not have been the right app. because there was no room to install the trans. levers correctly. Never did figure out what it was meant to fit on.

I just fixed my shifter this last November on my super 10! You need fuller part O ring K3376 isolator bushing kit K3399and new gasket for the shift tower to transmission 4303432 . You are just four bolts and a little elbow grease from shifter that feels like a brand new truck for less than 30 bucks!!
What allows a 5-speed transmission to become a 10-speed transmission is the range selector. Down for low, up for high. The only time you use the range selector is between fourth and fifth.
