The issue with the dog leg and wheel well is they rust from the inside out. I borescoped my wheel well from the trunk to see the damage. Ford did not do a "quality is job one" on the seam sealer that they injected to seal the outer quarter panel to inner fender. Water wicks up between these two parts and rusts from the inside.
