My NIPT came back saying 98% chance of down syndrome, I had amnio which came back all clear, but it was confined placental mosaicism, so the placenta had trisomy 21 but baby didn't. If I had CVS it would have most likely showed up positive, since like NIPT, it's testing placental cells. Wait for the amnio for a true diagnosis or clearance

I only had to wait until my 16w scan and they confirmed one boy and one girl. You are correct - If it comes back girl, then both are girls. If it comes back boy, you have at least 1 boy and have to wait until 20 weeks (ish) to find out the other. Mine came back boy and at 20 weeks we found out it was a boy and a girl.
