This is an old post, but i think the P with a threaded barrel is the way to go. Hear me out. you can get a PMM compensator and throw a light and red dot on it and you have an excellent 2011. The XC is a nice gun but its hard to say its worth 4,000+ when you can get a P and a comp or porting done. 1.

And the mr920 is no where near as good to shoot. Edit: i will say this, while the price of admission is high. They are worth 2k. I know there are more premium 2011's, ive not used them. However, i cannot imagine them being another 1-3k better than a staccato. The staccato stuff is as good as anything else as far as the quality of the parts. Staccato internals are all wire edm cut from billet and dlc coated. A good gunsmith can do the same stuff with the factory parts that they can with good aftermarket parts. That being said if you like the looks or just want to do it EGW stuff is top notch.It's almost not worth mentioning, but in an effort to be fair, consistent, and thorough, it needed to be mentioned. Trigger. So let's talk about the trigger on the Staccato P. They're known to be hit or miss. This one is a polymer trigger and it is adjustable. I have not adjusted it from the factory setting.

I already knew that liked the way the 2011 shot, so I chose the Staccato. A $2500 gun is the least of my worries if I have to use it in self defense. They're not that expensive for a 2011, I don't have one but I'd say they're probably worth it- especially if you qualify for the mil/le 15% off + 6 mags deal.

Plus, even though I was prepared to spend the extra money on the Staccato, the difference was nearly close to 1k at the store. The S.A. was 1400, and the C2 was 2299.
