Dec 7, 2013 · while you have it down go ahead and check the tower seals. the solonoid pack bolts to the valve body. just unbolt it and bolt in the new one, the new one may not come with the same color connector, will be white or grey, but no worries here. bolt it all back up, clear your codes and drive. the 4 is the limp mode.

Downshifting from 6th to 4th at 65 (or even 75+) mph shouldn't cause the tires to lock up. It might cause a 1500 +/- rpm jump, but that should be nowhere close to tire lockup.
