Press upward with your thumbs on the bottom edge of the keypad housing and slide the keypad up away from the wall mounting plate, removing the keypad from the wall mounting plate. Gently pull on the plastic connector to remove the battery wire connector from the receptacle.
Remove Old Battery. Put the system in Test Mode. Please refer to the Test Your System page for instructions. Remove the small retaining screw on the top of the unit. Press the locking tabs down with your fingers. Gently swing the keypad cover down. The front section, with the battery, will be hanging upside down.Replace the cover screw. Plug the transformer into the wall outlet and secure with the retaining screw. Check your alarm keypad to ensure it no longer displays the “BAT” or “SYSTEM LO BATTERY” message.
