The constructed “anode-free” Zn–graphite battery (ZGB) comprises an anode substrate, a graphite cathode, and Zn (TFSI) 2 /ethyl methyl carbonate (EMC) electrolyte ( Scheme 1 ). The applied anode substrate is Cu foil with a thin layer (40 nm) of silver (Ag) coating.
