It appears the 43X's plunger looks similar to the one you posted a photo of, but the 42's looks very similar, if not identical, but they have different part numbers. 43X=Mfr Part: 33378 . G42=Mfr Part: 33185. Also, the G42 & the G43X have different, but similar looking firing pin assemblies.

It's very possible your used 43X has an 8 lbs connector installed. I'd check which connector you have first. If you have the lightest Glock connector in it, then consider the Ghost connectors, or Ghost connectors with some spring changes meaning, a reduced power safety plunger spring and/or a lighter striker spring, but don't go below 4.5 lbs or …
