The S model 30's have a thinner slide like the 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 Sig Glocks. Unfortunately they come on the 30sf lower, so no Gen.4 option as of yet.From my understanding, the 30 gen 4 has the same grip dimensions as the 30SF if you don't use a backstrap attachment. Also, the 30SF has the dual recoil spring assembly which is also included in the Gen 4 models.
