The first Glock I ever purchased was a Gen 3 G30 and it was great. I sold that gun a while back and picked up a Gen 4 G30 and the magic is still there!The Glock 30 slide is 1.125'' thick (same as the 38 45 GAP) The Springfield XD 45 compact is 1.1'' thick and tapers to .95. The 45 XD compact is very close to being the same overall size as the Glock 38 in 45 GAP.
