That is two CVCU's in shear weight. I think the bobber would be a better "ultimate off-road recovery vehicle". You will be able to pull alot more out with it. And in saving a ton, and one axle and a drive shaft, that should be good for at least 3 mpg.

The Deuce is one of the most fun vehicles that I've ever driven. Between the manual trans, the turbo whine and the unmuffled exhaust, I can easily overlook the 50 mph top speed and the fact that it takes 20 minutes to hit the top speed. I cried when the Army took away the Duece and gave us the crappy FMTVs.
