BG3 only requires the following "mod" entries to load. " GustavDev, Shared, SharedDev, Gustav ". Which are the first four entries in the "mods" ModuleSettings. Simply deleting all other entries other than these four fixes the issue introduced in patch 5. This is especially useful when the user is "missing" multiple mods.

Temporary solution: Delete Script Extender's "DWrite.dll" file, which you will find in the folder "bin" in your local BG3 Steam folder. This means, you will run the game without Script Extender. Mods that require it won't work. There is no other solution as of now, we have to wait for an SE update. Of course you can disable mods that require SE ... Patch 5 Lag *Update*. I previously made a post talking about the lag issues introduced to a few people in patch 5, I'm making this post to let people know how I found a temporary workaround. Bear in mind, this only worked for lag issues in act 1 and 2, act 3 is still chugging heavily and I suspect will need an actual official fix from Larian.
