What I was talking about specifically though was there was a false rumor spreading around through discords, twitch chats, twitter, etc when Duality dropped swearing up and down that if you didn't get the sword on your first two characters' first runs/pinnacle runs of the week of the dungeon, you were 100% guaranteed to get it on your 3rd character no questions.

I searched everywhere and couldn't find any info on whether you can farm root of nightmares already or not. Not until it is replaced by the reprised raid in season 22. At that time it will become one of the rotating raids. When it's featured, it will be farmable. Until then, you can earn loot once per week per class.
