This turned out to be quite tricky, especially when trying to pin down exact dates and time periods for the use of different lume varieties. I read also on the dive watch forum here a while back, a member stated that the lume on Breitling (s) suck.

As CitizenPromaster said, the orange backlight of the LCD panels does do a little to make things clearer, but only in full darkness.

I did a similar comparison between a Lumtec M57 and a Seiko Monster but came up with a different conclusion, the Monster is very good but the Lumtec was better, stronger and ultimately longer lasting despite using orange lumes.
