The layout of the Majestic resorts are all similar but since the Mirage is new, the vegetation is not as grown in as over at the Elegance. But the rooms at the Mirage are much bigger than at the Elegance (nearly 1000 sq feet. We went back 7 more times and then did the Colonial for the next two (with access to the Elegance). The club set ups at the two are different. Elegance has three very distinct club pools, bars, and lounges. The Elegance had more people at it and seemed to be more active in the evening. That could be due to the Mirage only being a year old and not selling out yet. As for better we never experienced the service or the food at the elegance or colonial but i'm sure it would be just like the Mirage.

Very pleased. Elegance might be a bit fancier but the Colonial is very nice. There might be a more upbeat vibe at the Colonial. These 3 resorts don't have exchange privileges. If you don't have children with you, upgrading to the adult side of the Colonial is a good idea. You have to book in the Colonial Club category. Feb 7, 2012 · Majestic Colonial vs Majestic Elegance There was a bit of a mix up with our reservation, so we ended up spending a night in Elegance and as an apology we got access to Elegance grounds and facilities, so I can say a bit about both. Overall fantastic resort! We loved it, gergeous beach, lovely grounds, comfortable rooms and great animation team.
