The SMSc is built in a nylon glass filled polymer and a new deluxe glass lens for extra scratch resilience to the daily wear and tear of shooting.If it's the proper RMSc footprint, you'd have to remove the rear posts and shorten the fronts for it to work. I believe the original ones did but my 507k drops right on and fits perfectly and has held up under like 800 rounds, so I assume they fixed it. Eps comes with a plate.I took this in on a trade but don't have a use for it as it's too big for my hellcat pro. It's the 4 MOA model. Looking to trade for one of the listed rds (can add $ depending on the optic) or sell it. Comes with the sight, sight cover and the 2 screws to mount.The Hex Wasp is in the micro red dot class, and in fact uses the same footprint as the Shield RMSc/J-point. The Micro red dot is meant for small pistols like the Hellcat and XDS. And since Springfield uses one of the industry standard foot prints, while the Hex sights are Springfield products, I bet they would work on different brands of pistols as well.Chose it over the SMSc for aircraft aluminum chassis rather than polymer and its slightly smaller footprint. No issues whatsoever so far. It is $100 more than the SMSc but I'm glad I made the choice. The SMSc is also a fine choice if price is a factor. Have no experience with the Wasp so I can't comment on it.
